The Rick O’Shea Book Club (ROSBC), Ireland’s largest book club with 40,000 members across over 100 countries, has launched its annual Xmas Appeal. Since 2018, the appeal has raised over €250,000 to support Irish charities. This year, the chosen beneficiaries are the NSPCA, Children’s Books Ireland, and My Lovely Horse Rescue.

Founded in 2014 and run by RTÉ arena host Rick O’Shea on Facebook, the club is known for its vibrant literary discussions. Rick O’Shea encourages supporters to donate the price of a book to these worthy causes, emphasizing that any amount is appreciated.
