Pleasant Valley Rescue Ranch Hosts Fundraiser to Support Unwanted Horses in Murrysville

The Pleasant Valley Rescue Ranch in Murrysville hosted its first event since 2018, the “Rein In the Magic of Christmas” fundraiser, to support veterinary care for its rescued horses. The nonprofit sanctuary serves as a foster, retirement, and palliative care home for unwanted horses of all breeds and conditions. The event featured live music, vendors, raffles, food, and opportunities for attendees to meet and pet the horses, with all proceeds going toward their medical needs.

Volunteers, including organizer Helen Roble, care for about 20 horses with regular vet visits and daily feeding and cleaning shifts. Attendees like Roxanna Price and her family, as well as Amy Campbell and her grandson, enjoyed interacting with the horses and learning their unique stories. The ranch aims to raise between $5,000 and $10,000 to continue providing quality care for the animals.
