The Oceana County Fair schedule includes a variety of events from Sunday, August 17 through Saturday, August 23. Highlights include daily harness horse races, livestock shows for swine, sheep, beef, poultry, goats, and rabbits, as well as youth and educational building judging. The midway with Elliott’s Amusements opens from Tuesday through Saturday with wristbands priced between $20 and $25. Special days include Senior Citizen-Veteran-Handicap Day on Wednesday, featuring handicap-assisted rides and draft horse competitions, and the 4-H Market Livestock Auction on Thursday evening.
Additional attractions include fireworks on Tuesday night, a Bump-N-Run/Figure 8 race on Wednesday, and the Tom Oomen Memorial West Michigan Pullers Tractor Pull on Friday. Saturday features the Grand Slam Showmanship, horse games, Ag Olympics, a small animal and junior market auction, and concludes with a demolition derby. Admission prices vary by event, with some activities free and others charging fees for adults and children.
