“Twin Peaks: The Return,” set 25 years after the original series, brings back familiar characters including Deputy Hawk, played by Michael Horse. Initially hesitant about the revival, Horse was convinced of its authenticity when he saw Kyle MacLachlan’s character, the sinister doppelganger Mr. C, in full makeup on the first day of filming. Horse had even offered to appear for free just to be part of the beloved horror series again.
In the revival, Hawk continues his role in law enforcement, now working with Sheriff Frank Truman, and becomes one of the show’s key characters. Horse expressed pride in portraying a substantial Native American character that challenges stereotypes, highlighting the rarity and significance of such roles in mainstream television.
