Horse Illustrated, in partnership with the ASPCA’s Right Horse program, features a weekly adoptable horse to help connect potential adopters with horses in need. This week’s spotlight is on Moven Van, a 4-year-old, 17.2hh Thoroughbred gelding from the Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Moven Van had a successful racing career earning $27,612 before being responsibly retired. After recovering from an abscess, he is now sound, friendly, and enjoying pasture time while awaiting evaluation for his next chapter.
The ASPCA Right Horse initiative aims to increase horse adoptions across the U.S. by providing an online platform where people can find adoptable and foster horses. Interested adopters can learn more about Moven Van and other horses through the Horse and Hound Rescue Foundation or visit the ASPCA Right Horse website for additional resources and listings.
