The Madison Township Fire Department responded on the morning of October 22 to rescue a blind horse that had escaped its fenced area and fallen into a neighbor’s inground swimming pool. Upon arrival, they called in the Reily Township Fire Department’s large animal rescue unit for assistance.
The combined efforts of the fire departments successfully removed the horse from the pool, and the animal appeared unharmed after the rescue.
