At the dressage and Jumping with the Stars event at Werribee, twenty-six of Australia’s top riders competed in the CSI1*-W World Cup sponsored by the City of Wyndham. The competition featured a challenging first round course designed by Gavin Chester, with the top twelve advancing to the second round. Four riders recorded clear rounds initially, with Madeline Sinderberry impressively securing the top two spots in the jump-off on her horses Camie Z and GC Chicane, posting clear rounds of 53.21 and 57.52 seconds respectively.
Sarah McMillan and Tyrone, winners of the previous Shepparton World Cup, pushed hard to beat Madeline’s times but were narrowly edged out due to a rail down at the last fence, finishing third. Madeline praised both her horses, highlighting Camie Z’s fighting spirit after a recent return to competition and expressing optimism about the future potential of her younger mount, GC Chicane.
