Lyle Lee Boisen, a former Flathead County resident born in Kalispell in 1954, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness. Raised in rural Columbia Falls, Lyle was known as a true ’70s spirit who embraced a carefree lifestyle and helped those in need. Throughout his life, he explored various occupations and owned several businesses, embodying the role of a Jack of all Trades. After raising his twin children while working in insurance, antiques, advertising, and real estate, he returned to Montana in 1985, married Lori Omang in 1990, and later built an advertising business in Portland, Oregon. In retirement, he split his time between Portland and Mexico, frequently visiting Montana to reconnect with family and friends.
Lyle had a passion for gardening, especially growing tomatoes and making jams and jellies, which he generously shared with others. He also enjoyed friendly competition through games like cribbage, pool, and darts. He is survived by his wife Lori, children Amber and Devon, grandsons Kermit and Ronan, siblings, and extended family. Lyle’s Celebration of Life is scheduled for July 29, 2025, at the Birch Grove Community Center in Kalispell, honoring his roots and lifelong connections to the community.
