Lovatsville Stud has secured the multiple group-winning colt Espionage, a son of champion sire Zoustar, for the 2026 breeding season at an introductory fee of AU$11,000 (inc. GST). Espionage, a standout juvenile who won the 2024 Breeders’ Plate (G3) and the Kindergarten Stakes (G3), was purchased for AU$1 million at the 2023 Magic Millions sale and trained by Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott. Despite a promising start and a multimillion-dollar acquisition by Coolmore and partners, an injury curtailed his 3-year-old campaign ambitions. Lovatsville’s Sam White and trainer Gai Waterhouse both praised Espionage’s physical attributes, temperament, and breeding potential, with Coolmore retaining an interest in the stallion.
Bred by Baramul Stud, Espionage is out of the city-winning mare In Times Of War, herself from a strong female line. The colt finished his racing career with two wins and two placings from 10 starts, earning nearly AU$450,000. He already has 50 quality mares committed for the 2026 season through a shareholder syndicate, highlighting strong breeder confidence in his future as a stallion.
