Longines has appointed Chinese actor and competitive equestrian archer Yosh Yu as its newest Ambassador of Elegance, a partnership that aligns with the brand’s strong equestrian heritage. Yu, who gained fame in 2023 for his role in Creation of the Gods I: Kingdom of Storms, has also dedicated himself to mastering horse riding and mounted archery, competing in prestigious events like the 2025 National Tour Finals and the Global Horseback Archery Masters Competition. Longines CEO Patrick Aoun highlighted Yu’s determination and versatility as key factors in the collaboration, while Yu expressed admiration for Longines’ rich watchmaking history and understated style.
The partnership launches with the Master Collection Year of the Horse Moonphase, a timepiece that combines classic Swiss watchmaking with Lunar New Year symbolism and Yu’s equestrian background. Introduced in 2005, the Master Collection features an automatic movement and a moonphase complication, with this special edition celebrating the spirit of the horse, making it a fitting tribute to both Yu’s skills and Longines’ longstanding connection to equestrian sport.
