The Lafayette County Multi-Purpose arena hosted the Lafayette County Pro rodeo on March 6 and 7, featuring classic rodeo events such as saddle bronc riding, calf roping, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and the popular bull riding. The event attracted a diverse crowd, including students seeking entertainment before incoming stormy weather and members of the UM chapter of Turning Point USA, who saw the rodeo as an expression of shared American values. Behind the scenes, pickup riders ensured the safety of both competitors and animals, emphasizing consistency and care throughout the competition.
