The Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan has approved a resolution to develop the horse breeding sector by consolidating related enterprises into a single state holding. The existing Center for the Development of Ethnoculture, Equestrian Sports, and Horse Breeding has been renamed the State Horse Breeding Holding Company and placed under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry.
This new holding will incorporate three major branches located in Kok-Bel (Osh region), Naryn (Naryn district), and Talas (Talas district), along with their assets and staff. The government has allocated over 1.5 million soms from the state budget to support the holding’s operations, aiming to streamline the sector and promote sustainable national development of horse breeding.
