Kannada superstar Kichcha Sudeepa prefers fantasy films over period dramas due to his aversion to horse-riding roles commonly found in historical films. He appreciates the imaginative and creative aspects of the fantasy genre, allowing for more freedom and exploration of commercial elements without restrictions.
In the upcoming film “Max,” Kichcha Sudeepa plays a police officer returning to duty after a suspension, with events taking a dramatic turn over the course of a night. He enjoys the intensity and gripping drama of such roles, which he finds more appealing than historical or period drama characters that he feels may lead to overdoing it or leaving loose ends.
The actor shared a harrowing experience from a previous film involving horseback riding that solidified his decision to avoid such scenes in the future. He recounted an incident during the making of the Tamil film “Puli” where his horse bolted into the forest while he was dressed in a heavy costume and knee-length shoes, making it impossible for him to jump off.
