Julia Krajewski Withdraws Uelzener’s Nickel from 2025 European Eventing Championships Selection

Julia Krajewski, the 2020 Olympic eventing champion, has decided not to pursue selection for the upcoming Agria FEI Eventing European Championships at Blenheim Palace with her horse Uelzener’s Nickel. Despite Nickel’s recent success, including winning the Meßmer Trophy German Championship and competing at the Paris Olympics, Krajewski cited the challenging, hilly terrain at Blenheim as unsuitable for Nickel’s strengths and longevity. She and Nickel’s owner opted instead to focus on a 4*L event this autumn that better suits the horse.

Germany has yet to finalize its team nominations for the championships, with the official entry deadline approaching. While Krajewski and Nickel’s absence is notable, the German squad will still feature many top competitors. The event is scheduled for September 18-21, and further details and updates on team selections are expected soon.
