Jordan LaPlaca and his 11-year-old Oldenburg gelding Gold Play achieved a remarkable double gold medal victory at the Adequan Global dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida. On LaPlaca’s senior team debut, they won the Modon FEI Nations Cup CDIO3* Grand Prix Special with a personal best score of 71.00%, following their earlier team gold. LaPlaca, who has trained Gold Play since the horse was young, expressed deep gratitude and pride, highlighting the journey from a 4-year-old to an international Grand Prix competitor as a dream come true.
In a separate CDI3* Grand Prix Special at Diamante Farms, Jane Karol topped the leaderboard riding her 11-year-old mare Vioretta with a score of 68.17%. Despite a challenging previous ride, Karol was thrilled with the result, crediting years of careful training and her horse’s natural power and potential. Karol, who also runs an equine psychotherapy facility, continues to develop Vioretta’s topline and relaxation to maximize her performance.
