Irvin Mueller, age 92, of Columbus, Nebraska, passed away on February 3, 2026. Born on June 14, 1933, in Clearwater, Nebraska, he grew up in Platte County and was active in track and field and 4-H during high school. He married Juanita Moore in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. After his service, he farmed in Platte Center for over 30 years, raising livestock and Arabian horses. Irvin was passionate about ballroom dancing, running, radio-controlled models, antique tractors, and community service, including preserving the Granville Cemetery and founding the Good Guys 4-H Club.
He is survived by five children—Randy, Cindy, Gina, Carolyn, and Ginny—along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Juanita, parents, siblings, a son, and sons-in-law. Funeral services will be held on February 9, 2026, at Peace Lutheran Church, with burial at Roselawn Cemetery accompanied by military honors.
