Horse Sport Ireland has announced the structure of its Irish Eventing High Performance squads for the 2026 season, comprising the Senior High Performance Squad, High Performance Development Squad, High Performance Recognition Squad, and Under-25 Squad. These squads were selected after a thorough consultation and review process, reflecting the strong talent pool and providing a clear development pathway for riders and horses aiming for championship and senior Nations Cup participation.
The 2026 programme emphasizes performance development, championship readiness, and nurturing emerging talent, building on Ireland’s recent success across all levels. Selected athletes will compete internationally, including at the FEI Eventing Nations Cup, the FEI World Championships in Aachen, and the inaugural FEI Eventing Under-25 World Championships in Millstreet. Many Under-25 riders will also aim for selection as Young Riders for the European Championships, underscoring Ireland’s commitment to sustained excellence in eventing.
