A barn fire broke out at 40 Cumberland St. in Attleboro, MA, around 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, resulting in the death of one horse. Firefighters faced challenges accessing the property due to a narrow roadway but quickly worked to extinguish the flames and rescue several animals trapped inside.
Despite difficult conditions, the fire crew’s swift and coordinated response prevented a larger tragedy, saving the barn and multiple animals. District Chief Michael Maitland praised the team’s determination and teamwork in managing the emergency effectively.
