Thoroughbred Charities of America will honor Brandon and Diannah Perry with the Allaire du Pont Leadership Award and Beyond the Wire with the Ellen and Herb Moelis Industry Service Award at the 35th Annual Stallion Season Live Auction and Celebration. The Perrys were recognized for their philanthropic endeavors and dedication to supporting horses and their caretakers. Beyond the Wire, launched in 2017, has facilitated the safe placement of over 700 Thoroughbreds at partner facilities for retiring Maryland-based racehorses.
The TCA Stallion Season Auction will feature nearly 200 seasons available for bidding online from January 8 to January 10. Select seasons to popular stallions will be sold at the Live Auction & Celebration on January 12. Non-season items, including a John Deere ZTrak mower, equine art, and vacation home in Turks & Caicos, will also be offered in the live auction. An online silent auction of items such as halters worn by famous horses like Rachel Alexandra will be available as well.
Sponsored by various organizations, the auction aims to raise funds for Thoroughbred industry-related causes.
