World number one Harry Meade will open and close the Defender Burghley 2025 CCI5* event, riding three horses including Mandy Gray’s Et Hop Du Matz and Annaghmore Valoner. Meade is the only rider with three entries, drawn 1, 24, and 60 out of 60 total competitors. The reigning 2024 champions, Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo, will start late in the order at number 53. The field also features five former Burghley winners, including Piggy March, Caroline Powell, Tim Price, and Oliver Townend.

The event runs from September 4-7, 2025, with full coverage available on Burghley TV, which will broadcast all the action.
