Hall County Animal Control Rescues 100 Animals from Possible Hoarding Case in Gainesville

A call regarding a potential animal hoarding situation in Hall County led officials to discover 100 animals living at a Gainesville residence. Animal Control officers responded to the home on Honeysuckle Road and rescued 82 dogs, seven cats, eight rabbits, one horse, one bird, and a fish. All animals are currently under the care of the Hall County Animal Shelter, receiving veterinary evaluation and care, though they are not yet available for rescue.

The investigation by Hall County Animal Control is ongoing, with no additional details or information about possible charges released. The shelter is open for adoptions and fosters Tuesday through Saturday, and those interested in supporting the animals can donate to the Friends of Hall County Animal Services Fund. More information is available on the Hall County website.
