A fire broke out shortly before 10:30 p.m. on Monday in a horse barn located on 3000 South Burma Road in Saline County, Kansas, resulting in the deaths of five show horses and four dogs. The horses, valued at a minimum of $100,000, along with the barn and its contents, suffered a total loss estimated at over $107,000.
The cause of the fire remains unknown, and the Kansas State Fire Marshal’s Office has been called in to investigate. Authorities continue to assess the situation following this significant loss.
