Final Days of the 122nd World’s Championship Horse Show Highlight Top American Saddlebreds

The 122nd World’s Championship Horse Show, held in Louisville, Kentucky, is concluding its final two days this Friday and Saturday. This prestigious event showcases the top American Saddlebred horses competing across various disciplines to earn the title of world champion. For participants like Kristan Cater of Cater Stables, the show is the highlight of the year, influencing many decisions throughout the season as everyone aims to produce the next world champion.

The competition features riders of all ages and skill levels, both professional and amateur, with all performances judged rigorously. According to recent champion Alex Gravett of Kismet Farm, judges evaluate horses based on correct execution of required gaits, charisma, attentiveness, and manners, depending on the division. The remaining championship sessions are scheduled for Friday evening and Saturday morning and evening.
