This weekend’s horse racing calendar is packed with key events across North America, Ireland, England, and Australia, featuring multiple “Win and You’re In” qualifiers for the Breeders’ Cup. In Canada, the $1 million Rogers Woodbine Mile highlights a strong turf mile field including Godolphin’s Notable Speech and South Africa’s One Stripe. At Churchill Downs, notable races include the Grade II Fasig-Tipton Locust Grove for distaff runners and the Grade III Iroquois for juveniles, while Woodbine hosts the Grade I Summer Stakes and Johnny Walker Natalma Stakes for juvenile turf and juvenile fillies turf divisions, respectively. Kentucky Downs recently saw Fionn capture the Dueling Grounds Oaks, continuing a streak of graded stakes wins.

In Europe, Ireland’s Leopardstown hosts the Group 1 Irish Champion Stakes with favorite Delacroix, a promising son of Dubawi and Tepin, while the Matron and Champions Juvenile races also offer Breeders’ Cup qualifying spots. The Curragh continues Sunday with the Irish St Leger and other major stakes. England’s Doncaster features the final English Classic, the Group 1 St Leger, with strong contenders from Coolmore and Aidan O’Brien. Meanwhile, Australia’s Flemington hosts the Group 1 Makybe Diva Stakes, showcasing top local talent.
