Echo Sound Aims for Back-to-Back Grade 3 Wins in Victory Ride at Saratoga

Echo Sound, trained by Rusty Arnold, aims for consecutive Grade 3 victories in the $175,000 Victory Ride Stakes at Saratoga, a 6 1/2-furlong sprint for sophomore fillies. Coming off a strong win in the Miss Preakness (G3) at Pimlico, Echo Sound has demonstrated versatility and consistency, winning at four different tracks and showing adaptability in racing tactics. Jockey Luis Saez, who has ridden her in three starts, will guide her from post 3. The Victory Ride holds special significance for Arnold, as it is named after his former pupil, Victory Ride.

The field also includes notable contenders such as Indy Bay, trained by Saffie Joseph Jr., who recently won the Jersey Girl Stakes with a co-high 91 Beyer Speed Figure, and Beauty Reigns, trained by Hall of Famer Bill Mott, who seeks her first stakes win after solid recent performances. Other entrants include Hollygrove and Whatintheliteral, rounding out a competitive field for the July 4th race at Saratoga, scheduled as Race 3 with a 2:15 p.m. post time.
