Dartmouth Equestrian Team Wins First-Ever ECAC Championship with 7-3 Victory Over Centenary

The Dartmouth College equestrian team made history by winning their first-ever ECAC championship with a 7-3 victory over Centenary University at the College of Charleston. Leading 3-2 at halftime thanks to strong flat performances by Cassidy Exner, Kileigh Van Ness, and Camilla Jerng, the Big Green secured the win in the second half by capturing four of five fence points, with key contributions from Grace Russo, Van Ness, Exner, and Jerng. Jerng earned both Most Outstanding Performer honors for flat and fence events, while four Dartmouth riders were named to the ECAC All-Tournament Fences Team, and Van Ness and Jerng also made the Flat Team. Head coach Tenley Walsh was recognized as ECAC Coach of the Year.

With this championship, Dartmouth now awaits seeding for the upcoming national championships scheduled for April 17-18 in Ocala, Florida. The team’s strong performances and historic victory highlight their momentum heading into the national competition.
