Cuddle Piglets and More at Ralphy’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary in Ontario

Ralphy’s Retreat Animal Sanctuary, located in Tiny township, Simcoe County, Ontario, is a non-profit charity dedicated to rescuing and caring for abused, neglected, or abandoned farm animals. Established in 2003 with a focus on horses, the sanctuary expanded in 2010 to include pot-bellied pigs, now home to around 100 pigs at any time. Named after a piglet called Ralphy, the sanctuary offers visitors a chance to interact with pigs and other animals like horses, alpacas, donkeys, chickens, cows, and turkeys through 1.5-hour tours during spring to fall, with admission fees serving as donations.

In addition to tours, Ralphy’s provides educational programs and opportunities to adopt, foster, or sponsor pigs, supporting their mission to provide long-term care. Visitors are advised to wear closed-toe shoes and use a foot bath for sanitation. The sanctuary is located at 39 Darby Rd., Wyebridge, Ontario, about two hours from Toronto, offering a unique alternative to typical animal cafes by focusing on farm animal rescue and rehabilitation.
