Puppy Haven Rescue in Bixby, Oklahoma received a historic donation of over $19,000, surpassing their end-of-year goal and allowing them to continue operating and saving more dogs. The community rallied around the rescue, enabling them to rescue more puppies on New Year’s Eve and Day. The donation was the largest the rescue had ever received in such a short amount of time, helping them save 19 lives and surpass 4,000 total saved since 2017.

The donation came just in time as Puppy Haven was facing a critical need for funds to continue their operations. With over 100 dogs up for adoption and more needing rescue, the community’s support was crucial. The rescue was able to save 19 lives, including 12 puppies and 7 adult Pyrenees, who were at risk of being terminated if not rescued.

The New Year’s miracle not only allowed Puppy Haven to continue operating but also highlighted the ongoing need for adoptions, donations, and volunteers at shelters across Oklahoma.
