Title: Falun East 4-H Beef Club: Celebrating Achievements and Community Engagement

Falun East 4-H Beef Club members have been hard at work, and it shows.

We kicked off the year with our Club Calf and Water Flo (duck) tour, where we got to check in on all the members’ steers and duck projects — everything is looking great!

On Feb. 1, we hosted our public speaking competition, and our members did an incredible job. Congratulations to our top finishers:

  • Juniors: 1st Cody Tvait, 2nd Dylan Scott
  • Intermediates: 1st Cailey Tvait, 2nd Dallis Sailer
  • Seniors: 1st Ciara Tvait, 2nd Peyton Cleland
  • Presentations: 1st place – Emersyn and Kamryn Tabler and Ethan Chrystian

Great work everyone!

On April 5, our members lent a helping hand at the Falun Seniors Centre, assisting with table setup, serving, clearing dishes, dessert service, and cleanup. It’s always rewarding to give back to our community.

Raffle Tickets — win big and give back! In partnership with Rosebrier 4-H Beef Club and our Wetaskiwin and District Show and Sale, we’re selling raffle tickets to support our Achievement Day. Tickets are only $10 each, and you could win one of three cash prizes.

Best of all, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Horses for Hope in Wetaskiwin, making a real difference in our community. For tickets contact Kurtis Tabler at 780-361-3780.

Mark your calendars: Our Achievement day is coming up on Monday, May 12 at the Wetaskiwin Ag Grounds. The show starts at 8:30 a.m., lunch 12:15 p.m., sale starts at 2 p.m.
