The final day of the competition was abandoned in light of the incident, though a schooling day planned for the following day will proceed as scheduled.

Sarah and her horse MGH Hera were competing at the BE100 level for the first time together, having previously competed successfully at BE90. British Eventing expressed deep condolences to Sarah’s family and friends and announced a full review of the incident in line with their protocols.
