Jessica Mendoza of Great Britain won the $400,000 Longines 2025 Hampton Classic 5* Grand Prix in Bridgehampton on August 31, marking her first victory in this prestigious competition. Riding her 12-year-old Dutch Warmblood mare, In The Air, Mendoza completed the highly technical course with one of only two double-clear rounds in 37.34 seconds, outpacing over 38 competitors from 14 countries. The event celebrated its 50th anniversary and featured challenging jumps set at 1.60 meters.

The Hampton Classic, a major horse show on Long Island’s East End, returned with FEI CSI5 and CSI2 show jumping and USEF Premier hunter competitions, offering over $1 million in prize money. Along with the prize money, Mendoza received a Longines timepiece and wine from Wölffer Estate, while her professional groom earned a cash prize for maintaining the horse’s health. Mendoza praised her mare’s performance, highlighting the horse’s exceptional summer and their strong partnership.
