Chloe Smith fell from her horse Comet during a routine winter hack, injuring her leg. Comet sought help from a nearby postman, who called 999 and stayed with Chloe until help arrived. The air ambulance team assessed Chloe’s injuries and determined she had a fractured ankle.
Despite the intense pain, Chloe’s main concern was Comet’s well-being. She underwent surgery for her ankle injury and is now focused on her recovery, visiting Comet daily. Chloe expressed gratitude to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance team for their assistance during her time of need.
Chloe’s rescue will be featured on an episode of Yorkshire Air 999, showcasing the importance of the air ambulance’s lifesaving work. For more information on supporting the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, visit their website.
