The longstanding feud between billionaires John Magnier and Maurice Regan has intensified following a recent High Court ruling against Magnier, escalating their conflict from a multi-million euro land dispute in Tipperary into the horse racing industry. Magnier’s Coolmore, a leading global bloodstock company, has ceased all business dealings with Regan’s Newtown Anner Stud, which houses over 150 horses near Clonmel.
This move marks a significant escalation, as Regan revealed in court that he annually spends approximately €1 million on fees to Coolmore. The breakdown in their business relationship highlights the deepening rift between the two wealthy figures, impacting both their land interests and their involvement in the lucrative horse racing sector.
