Angela Rippon, a well-known broadcaster and patron of The Mare and Foal Sanctuary since 2018, is starring in a national TV campaign to raise awareness for the charity’s work rescuing and caring for nearly 600 abandoned, neglected, or abused horses and ponies. The advert, filmed at the sanctuary’s Moorland Rescue Facility in Dartmoor, will air throughout October on ITV, Sky, and Channel 4. Rippon, who grew up in Devon and has a deep personal connection to horses, passionately advocates against animal cruelty and supports the sanctuary’s mission to improve equine welfare across the South West of England.
The Mare and Foal Sanctuary operates multiple locations and collaborates with national welfare organizations to provide care and rehabilitation for horses in need. Dawn Vincent, the sanctuary’s Director of Fundraising and Communications, praised Rippon’s dedication and highlighted how her involvement significantly boosts public awareness of their rescue efforts. Rippon’s heartfelt commitment reflects her lifelong love of horses and desire to help ensure these majestic animals lead better lives.
