The American Standardbred Adoption Program held its annual Fall Festival Fundraiser at Tuna’s Saloon in Genoa, Wisconsin, featuring food trucks, a cornhole tournament, a silent auction, and live music from local bands. The event aimed to raise funds to provide safe homes for retired harness racehorses and support equine education programs that teach horsemanship and riding skills.
Cherie Johnson, daughter of the fundraiser’s founder, highlighted that donations help rescue and rehabilitate retired racehorses, especially those saved from the kill market and auctions. The festival, which ran from 3 p.m. to midnight, brought together community members for an evening of fun while supporting the welfare and second chances for these horses.
