Abandoned Pony Toby Thrives After Rescue and Care at Somerset Centre

A young yearling pony named Toby was found abandoned and mistreated in a flood run-off zone, where he was chased and attacked by youths. Severely underweight and weak, Toby was rescued by World Horse Welfare after a welfare report prompted intervention. He was initially cared for in a holding yard before being transferred to the Glenda Spooner Farm Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Somerset, where he has since made a remarkable recovery.

Under the dedicated care of the charity’s staff, Toby has transformed from a neglected, fragile colt into a thriving, spirited pony with a cheeky character. Now healthy and happy, Toby has found a loving home, highlighting the positive impact of rescue and rehabilitation efforts by organizations like World Horse Welfare.
