The 2025 Limerick Show, Limerick’s largest family and agricultural festival, will take place on Sunday, August 24th at Limerick Racecourse. The event is expected to attract up to 15,000 visitors, 1,000 competitors, and 150 trade exhibitors, showcasing the best of Limerick’s farming, food, crafts, and livestock. Highlights include the return of popular livestock sections such as poultry and sheep, the new T.I.H.A. Colt Championship promoting traditional Irish horse breeding, and the Careers Village connecting attendees with major local employers. The show also features a Sustainability marquee by Limerick City and County Council, emphasizing agricultural innovation and environmental responsibility.
In addition to the agricultural displays, the festival offers numerous family-friendly activities free of charge, including a Kids Zone with amusements, pony rides, and an animal farm, as well as live music, a fashion show hosted by Celia Holmen Lee, and a popular family Dog Show. Visitors can enjoy shopping at artisan food stalls, craft displays, and farm machinery exhibits. To facilitate attendance, complimentary bus services will run from key city locations to the showgrounds. The event is proudly supported by lead sponsor AMCS, a successful Limerick-based company, helping to continue a tradition dating back to 1929.
