The AHP Equine Industry Survey, sponsored by Zoetis, will launch in early 2025 and is open to U.S. horse owners and managers aged 18 and older. The survey aims to gather information on participation trends, management practices, and critical issues facing the equine industry.
Participants in the survey must currently own or manage at least one horse and reside in the United States. The survey is anonymous, and only aggregated results will be presented to maintain confidentiality. Dr. C. Jill Stowe, a professor of Agricultural Economics at the University of Kentucky, is providing consulting services for data collection and analysis.
The survey is conducted by American Horse Publications (AHP), a nonprofit association that promotes excellence in equine media. Previous surveys have been conducted in 2009-2020, 2015, 2018, and 2021. The final report and survey data are available only to the sponsor and current AHP members, with previous survey results available upon request.
