Zara Tindall, a renowned equestrian and daughter of Princess Anne, made a rare public speech at the World Horse Welfare Annual Conference in London on 21 November. Reflecting on the theme “Through the horse’s eyes,” she emphasized the importance of partnership and understanding horses’ needs, lamenting the negative impact of post-Brexit legislation on horse travel and welfare. Zara highlighted the challenges faced by horse owners today, stressing the need for greater public awareness about equine welfare and the environment in which horses live.
The conference gathered experts and enthusiasts to discuss horse welfare, featuring talks on equine feelings and care. Zara, who has a decorated equestrian career including an Olympic silver medal, participated in a Q&A panel alongside veterinary and equestrian professionals. Known for her passion for horses inherited from her mother, Zara also shared style tips for events like the Cheltenham Festival, balancing elegance with practicality.
