Yvonne Losos de Muniz Takes a Break from Competition and Retires Top Horse Aquamarijn: A Look Back at Her Career

Yvonne Losos de Muniz, a triple Olympian, has decided to take a break from competition and skip the 2025 Global dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida for the first time in eleven years. She has also retired her top horse, Aquamarijn, a 19-year-old KWPN mare who has competed in 103 international classes since 2016.

Aquamarijn made her international show debut in 2015 and was sold to Yvonne Losos de Muniz in 2016. The pair competed in major championships such as the World Cup Final, Pan American Games, and Olympics, with their last show being at the 2024 Olympics in Paris. Yvonne expressed immense gratitude for her journey with Aquamarijn and her participation in three Olympics.

Yvonne will be focusing more on coaching and has decided not to travel to Wellington for the 2025 Global dressage Festival. She plans to expand her client base to Europe and considers Idwinaretto her number one horse in the barn after Aquamarijn’s retirement. Yvonne has also owned other horses such as Famke PF and Felicia, who have either retired or been sold.
