Yorkshire Air 999 Features Maddie Schaible’s Dramatic Horse-Riding Rescue in Series Premiere

The opening episode of the new series of Yorkshire Air 999 features 19-year-old Maddie Schaible from Northallerton, who suffered a serious open ankle fracture after being thrown from a horse named Rebel. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance’s Critical Care Team quickly responded, providing advanced pain relief and stabilizing her injury before flying her to James Cook University Hospital for emergency surgery. Maddie is now recovering with a surgical frame and is determined to return to horse riding.

The episode also highlights other dramatic rescues, including a farmer trapped under a vintage tractor, a motorcyclist with severe injuries, and a young child with breathing difficulties. Yorkshire Air 999 returns to TV on October 3 at 9pm on the Really channel and Discovery+.
