Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray has introduced a new webpage to facilitate the reporting of business filing fraud, aiming to streamline the process for citizens to report false or fraudulent business filings. Alongside this launch, Gray announced a legislative initiative, in collaboration with Representative Ann Lucas, to amend state law to empower the Secretary of State’s office to dissolve companies and organizations found guilty of fraud, either criminally or civilly.
This legislative effort reflects the administration’s ongoing priority to take administrative action against fraudulent business entities under Wyoming law. The state legislature is set to convene for a Budget session starting February 9 and concluding by March 11, during which this proposed change may be considered.
