NAMPO Cape 2025, held from 10–13 September at Bredasdorp Park, will feature an exciting equestrian program highlighted by an international tentpegging competition between South Africa and Australia. This thrilling sport, deeply rooted in farming communities, involves riders striking targets with lances and swords at full gallop over three days of events. Additionally, Mounted Games will showcase South African riders’ agility and coordination in a fast-paced, obstacle-filled competition running from 10 to 13 September, culminating in a local riders’ contest.
The event also includes a captivating display of mounted archery by Griffin’s Horse Archery, blending tradition and precision as riders shoot targets while galloping. Visitors can enjoy performances by Friesian horses, local Bredasdorp Black Horses, miniature donkeys, and pony rides for children, making the arena a family-friendly destination. Tickets are available online and at the gate, with free entry for preschool children, promising a memorable experience of world-class horsemanship and equestrian excitement.
