A Worcestershire horse racing stable, Claire Dyson Racing and Rehabilitation, has raised £125,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance in memory of Charlotte Cole, a former head girl who died following a horse-riding accident in 2011. The stable has collaborated with Cole’s family for 13 years, highlighting the critical role the air ambulance plays in responding to serious equestrian injuries, especially in remote training areas.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity noted that their crews attend to horse-riding incidents roughly every four days, emphasizing the frequency and severity of such accidents. The funds raised by the stable have significantly supported the charity’s ability to provide urgent, lifesaving care to patients in need across the region.
