Worcestershire Stables Raise £125,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance in Memory of Former Staff Member

A horse racing stable in Worcestershire has raised £125,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance in memory of Charlotte Cole, a former head girl who died in 2011 following a horse-riding accident. Claire Dyson Racing and Rehabilitation, based in Cleeve Prior, has worked closely with Cole’s family over the past 13 years to support the air ambulance, highlighting its vital role in responding to serious equestrian injuries, especially in remote training areas.

Julian Spears, associate clinical operations director at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, noted that crews are called to assist horse riders about every four days on average. He praised the stable’s fundraising efforts for enabling the charity to reach more patients in urgent need of lifesaving care.
