The incident was captured in a viral video, showing the woman grabbing the horse’s tail, causing it to rear up and the child to fall off. The woman, identified as Tomasa Panjojleon, was arrested and booked for felony child endangerment.
The child’s mother expressed disappointment in how the stable addressed the incident, claiming that the woman who pulled the horse’s tail should be held accountable for her actions. The mother alleged that the woman slipped away before law enforcement arrived, leaving the child with bruises and a limp. The child was wearing a helmet at the time and did not suffer a concussion.
The stable, Ocean View Stables, claimed that the child’s mother filled out an incident report stating the child was uninjured and refused medical attention. However, the family member of the child involved in the incident continued to fight for accountability, stating that they will ensure the woman who pulled the horse’s tail does not harm anyone again.
