A woman in her 50s was airlifted to Sunshine Coast University Hospital after a horse-riding accident at a rural property in Verrierdale. The incident occurred when the horse in front of her reared, causing her to fall and be trampled.
The LifeFlight aeromedical crew, tasked by Retrieval Services Queensland, arrived at 9:45 am to provide urgent medical assistance. Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics initially treated the woman, who sustained abdominal and pelvic injuries, before she was transported by helicopter in stable condition for further care.
