William Shatner, 94, is scheduled for shoulder surgery following a fall from his horse late last year. During the 53rd annual Saturn Awards, Shatner described the accident, explaining that while riding a fast horse with a tricky habit, he was thrown off and injured his shoulder. He is set to undergo a “reverse” shoulder operation aimed at relieving his pain and improving mobility.
In addition to this recent injury, Shatner has openly discussed his long-term battle with tinnitus, a condition he developed after a special effects explosion on the set of a “Star Trek” episode in the 1990s. Despite the challenges of living with tinnitus, Shatner remains active and engaged, attributing his longevity and energy to staying curious and healthy throughout his life.
