Will Coleman Sets Record in Dressage at US Equestrian Open Eventing Final

At the US Equestrian Open Eventing Final CCI4*-L held at Morven Park International Equestrian Center, Will Coleman and his 16-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding, Off The Record, set a new record with a dressage score of 25.1 penalties, the lowest ever at this venue for the four-star level. Their performance was highlighted by precise and expressive movements, particularly in collected canter and flying changes, earning them the lead after the dressage phase. Coleman praised Timmy’s professionalism and consistency, noting their strong season results and optimism for the upcoming cross-country phase.

Close behind were Sharon White with Claus 63, scoring 25.2 penalties, and Boyd Martin with Miks Master C, who scored 29.5 penalties. Both pairs delivered impressive tests showcasing strong canter work and harmony. The competition will continue with the cross-country phase on Saturday, followed by the show jumping finale on Sunday, where the overall champion will be decided.
