The Yankee Folly Mustang Adoption Center, in partnership with Forever Branded, is hosting a Wild Horse Adoption Event on September 12-13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Horse First Stables in New Paltz, NY. The event offers the chance to adopt one of 30 unhandled, untrained wild mustangs directly through the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) adoption program. Interested adopters must complete the BLM Online Corral application, meet all BLM requirements, be approved prior to adoption, and pay a $125 fee.

Prospective adopters should be prepared for the responsibility of caring for and training a wild horse, as these animals are not trained or handled.
